Brad Pitt: CLEARED of Child Abuse Charges By FBI!

It’s bound to be a rough holiday season for one of America’s favorite screen icons.

Pitt’s high-profile divorce from Angelina Jolie is still making for daily tabloid fodder, and insiders say the actor often goes weeks without being seeing his six kids, due to the Jolie has been granted sole physical custody on a temporary basis/

It may be months before Pitt and Jolie reach a custody arrangement, and during that time, Pitt will likely continue to be mostly shut out of his kids’ lives.

Fortunately, it’s not all bad news for Pitt these days, as the actor can now begin the slow process of rebuilding his public image, thanks to welcome legal news.

For the past several weeks, Pitt was under investigation for child abuse following a confrontation with his eldest con, 15-year-old Maddox.

Due to the fact that the fight took place aboard a midair flight, the matter was passed from DCFS to the FBI.

Details remain scarce, but whatever happened, it was bad enough that Jolie moved out and took the kids the very next day.

And for obvious reasons, the news of being in investigated by the FBI for child abuse doesn’t do wonders for one’s public image.

Fortunately for Pitt, the FBI offered him some much-needed good news today, announcing that it would be closing its investigation without pressing charges against the actor.

“In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation,” the bureau said in a statement issued today.

“No charges have been filed in this matter.”

Of course, this doesn’t mean Pitt is out of the woods.

Based on the agency’s recent history, you can bet that if Anthony Weiner’s emails contain one passing reference to Brangelina, the whole investigation will be re-opened.

Just a little light FBI humor, folks!

Please don’t investigate us!
